Sandra Wu-San is known as Lady Shiva, one of the world's greatest martial artist and deadliest assassins as well as a Grandmaster Assassin for the League of Assassins.[3]
History[]
Perpetual Motion[]
Being sent to assassinate a target, she was tracked by both Dick Grayson and Batman. Having killed her target, she also went to kill Batman and poisoned him. Before she could kill the man, however, Robin made his first debut as he provided a distraction for Batman to recover. Impressed with his skill, she leaves but not before expressing for him to seek her should he ever want to move beyond the shadow of Batman.[4]
Death of the Family[]
Red Hood and the Outlaws[]
Deathstroke[]
Secret Six[]
Shiva later came into an encounter with the group known as the Secret Six, as she sought out Strix, the former member of the Court of Owls and their Talons. She coercers Strix to join the League of Assassin alongside Shiva and attempts to sway her to her side with kind gestures. It is revealed then that the reason for soughting out Strix was an attempt to have her replace Shiva's position as Grandmaster, as she can only be out of her pact with the League of Assassins If she finds a suitable replacement.[3]
Despite her attempts of breaking Strix, she is unable to do so and is pressured into leaving the Secret Six alone. Although she was capable of fighting, Strix expressed that she left for an unknown reason linked to a deep sadness.[5]

Notes[]
- According to Penguin, he expresses that there's rumors of her being around Nightwing's age.[1] Another interview from DC Comics also confirms that both are contemporaries in age and met as teenagers during the events of Nightwing (Volume 3) #0.[6] This is because she uses her mask to hide her true age from others.
- Shiva's nickname for Dick is "Little bird".[4]
- According to Tom DeFalco (the writer who debutted New 52 Shiva), he expressed that this Shiva is "very different" from the Pre-52's version (though retains the personality).[7]
Trivia[]
- Penguin also expressed that she is the most expensive assassin to hire.[1]
